Their duties include answering the phone, emails, making and confirming reservations and flight tickets, arranging deliveries, maintaining travel information, and so on.


You need to have an outstanding knowledge of venues, excellent customer service skills, impressive presentation skills, strong determination to serve, and more. 


Although a college degree is not necessarily required, high school education in a relevant field or some college education will be beneficial for your career. 


Event manager


The event manager is also known as the event coordinator or event planner who organizes and manages events such as parties, conferences, weddings, meetings, and so on.

A hotel manager is responsible for supervising staff, going over budget and expenses, keeping records of sales and profits, dealing with maintenance issues, complying with health and safety regulations.


Besides, their job also includes promoting the establishment, collaborating with travel agencies and event planners, addressing customers’ complaints, maintaining two-way communication with the employees, and so on.


The basic requirements are impressive customer service skills, ability to work under pressure, decision-making skills, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of hotel management. 


A degree in business administration or hospitality management or a similar field is the educational criteria. And candidates with a few years of working in a hotel are given priority. 




A housekeeper is someone whose job is to clean a hotel or hospitality venues alike.


They are responsible for carrying out various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. They also make beds, clean and stock bathrooms, do laundry, dispose of trash, inform managers about damages.


Moreover, their duty also involves following health and safety rules strictly, making sure there is adequate equipment in hotel rooms, helping guests if necessary, and so on.


The requirements for a housekeeper are the ability to work well with little to no supervision, working swiftly, prioritizing customers’ needs, basic maintenance and cleaning skills, and affability.

The server is another hospitality job in Nepal. As a server, you take food and drink orders and serve them to the guests. They are also known as waiters.


Their major responsibility is to ensure that the guests have the best dining experience, enjoy their meals with no issues. 


Apart from that, their duty comprises informing customers about specials, pleasantly engaging with customers, arranging sitting areas, collecting payments, cleaning the tables along with others.

While high school education is preferred it is still not required. Although, relevant work experience and training are always considered as a plus point.

They are responsible for greeting customers and notifying them about the specials, encouraging coffee consumption by informing customers, brewing coffee and tea, packaging food for takeaway.

The qualifications for a barista are people skills, ability to work during peak hours, dedication to customer satisfaction, readiness to learn about beverage preparation, organizational skills, and more.

Bartenders prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and serve them to customers depending on their requests. It is another hospitality job in Nepal.
