Event manager

A hotel manager is responsible for supervising staff, going over budget and expenses, keeping records of sales and profits, dealing with maintenance issues, complying with health and safety regulations.

 

Besides, their job also includes promoting the establishment, collaborating with travel agencies and event planners, addressing customers’ complaints, maintaining two-way communication with the employees, and so on.

 

The basic requirements are impressive customer service skills, ability to work under pressure, decision-making skills, leadership skills, and a strong understanding of hotel management. 

 

A degree in business administration or hospitality management or a similar field is the educational criteria. And candidates with a few years of working in a hotel are given priority. 

 

Housekeeper

 

A housekeeper is someone whose job is to clean a hotel or hospitality venues alike.

 

They are responsible for carrying out various cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, etc. They also make beds, clean and stock bathrooms, do laundry, dispose of trash, inform managers about damages.

Server

 

The server is another hospitality job in Nepal. As a server, you take food and drink orders and serve them to the guests. They are also known as waiters.
