Posiiton: Medical Biochemist
Required Number: 3
Location: Pokhara, Chitwan and Maharajgunj
Qualification: M.Sc
Experience: 1-2 Years
Responsibilities
1. Technical Responsibilities:
-
Perform routine and specialized biochemical tests.
-
Operate and maintain automated biochemistry analyzers.
-
Validate and authorize test reports as per laboratory policy.
-
Ensure proper sample handling, processing, and storage.
-
Troubleshoot analyzer errors and coordinate with service engineers.
2. Quality Control & Assurance:
-
Maintain Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assurance (EQA).
-
Ensure compliance with SOPs and accreditation standards (e.g., ISO, NABL/NABL- equivalent).
-
Monitor reagent inventory and calibration records.
-
Maintain documentation as per regulatory requirements.
3. Administrative Duties:
-
Supervise laboratory technicians and support staff.
-
Prepare monthly test statistics and performance reports.
-
Assist in procurement of reagents and consumables.
-
Ensure proper biomedical waste management.
4. Clinical Coordination:
-
Communicate critical values to concerned physicians as well as QC department in head office.
-
Assist clinicians in interpretation of biochemical reports when required.
-
Support and participate in clinical meetings and audits.

Strong knowledge of clinical chemistry principles.
-
Hands-on experience with automated analyzers.
-
Good analytical and Problem-solving skills.
-
Computer Knowledge (LIS Operation).
-
Good communication and team management skills.
