The University of Nepal Infrastructure Development Preparatory Board (hereinafter called the “UoN Development Board” or "UoN DB") has been constituted by the Government of Nepal following a decision of the Council of Ministers on April 2, 2021 pursuant to Section 3 of Development Committee Act, 2013 (1956 AD) for the purpose of establishing University of Nepal (hereafter “UoN”) as an entity under the federal law of Nepal. The order for the constitution of UoN DB was published in Nepal Gazette on May 10, 2021. The UoN, upon its establishment, will offer highly relevant academic and research programs for individual and social development in a wide range of disciplines in the tradition of liberal arts education, and promote interdisciplinary and holistic approach to teaching, learning and research.
