Position: Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst
Level: Mid-level (NPSA-9)
Contract: 6 months (extendable)
Location: Kathmandu

What You’ll Actually Do
This is a Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) + strategy role, not just reporting. Your work will revolve around:
- Designing monitoring frameworks, indicators, and evaluation plans
- Tracking programme results across national-level projects
- Supporting data-driven decision-making for UN Women programmes
- Managing reporting for donors, senior leadership, and global systems
- Supervising M&E officers and consultants
- Ensuring alignment with national and UN strategic frameworks
- Leading evaluation processes and knowledge sharing
In short: You’ll be the person ensuring programmes prove impact, not just run.
What They’re Looking For
Must-haves:
- Master’s degree (or Bachelor’s + extra experience)
- 5+ years in M&E / development programmes
- Strong skills in:
- Results-Based Management (RBM)
- Data analysis & reporting
- Programme evaluation
- Fluent English + local language
Strong advantages:
- Experience with UN systems
- Gender-focused or social development work
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
- Field experience
