United Nations Entity for Equality and the Empowerment of Women
UN Women, grounded in the vis'on of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. Job Title: Program Specialist, Inclusive Governanace Duty Station: Kathmandu, Nepal Contract Type and Level: Fixed-Term (NO-C) Duration: 1 year with possibility of Vacancy closing date: 14 Sep 2021 extension (mid night NY time)
Minimum Requirements: Master's Degree in International Development, Gender, Human Rights, Law, Political Science or in other related Social Sciences; At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in programme design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building; Technical expertise in inclusive governance, women's political empowerment and leadership; Experience establishing linkages and working relationships among international organizations, national and subnational governments and civil society; Experience leading or managing a team; Prior experience in the UN System will be an asset; Fluency in written and oral English and Nepali is required; Knowledge of other local languages of Nepal is an asset.
