Deputy Chief Executive Officer will work closely with the CEO and senior management team to drive the strategic direction of the organization and oversee day-to-day operations and will play a pivotal role in leading key initiatives, optimizing business performance, & ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute the company’s strategic vision and growth plans.
- Drive business expansion initiatives, including market penetration and new product development.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement and operational efficiency.
- Operational Oversight:
- Oversee all aspects of operations, including risk management, compliance, and corporate governance.
- Implement policies and procedures to streamline processes and ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics to track organizational performance.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and other key stakeholders.
- Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and meetings.
- Serve as a brand ambassador and advocate for the company’s values and mission.
Team Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and staff members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and develop talent to support the organization’s long-term growth objectives.
Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to maintain a robust control environment.
Minimum Qualification Requirement:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field; CA, CFA or advanced degree will be an added advantage.
- Proven track record of leadership with 8 years of experience in executive management in the financial services industry, preferably in investment banking – Fund Management, Merchant Banking and Private Equity.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, capital markets, products, and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and achieve results in a dynamic environment.
- Proven leadership in driving innovation, team building and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to ethical business practices.
