NEPAL WATER FOR HEALTH (NEWAH)
Required Position: Province Head (Senior Coordinator) - 1
Summary of the Position:
Responsible for overall management of Sindhuli Province Office i.e. Admin & HR, procurement, planning & budgeting, implementation, and monitoring & evaluation of projects at province and field level.
Line Manager:
Reports to Senior Manager – Field Operations (SMFO) in coordination with department heads at Headquarters. In a strategic matter candidate reports to the Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with NEWAH strategic plan 2022-2026, NEWAH’s approaches, shifts, policies, and procedures and promote best practices through relevant coaching training and providing structured feedback to the province and field team.
- Perform planning and budgeting of all WASH projects in line with the organization’s plan and strategy as guided by Headquarters (HQ).
- Overall planning of provincial projects and program, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program as per organization guidelines.
- Selection and implementation of projects with approval from Headquarters.
- Responsible for overall reporting (Financial and Program) as per donor and organization requirement.
- Ensure to submit periodic progress reports and Project Completion Report (PCR) in due time.
- Provide any urgent information required to HQ (Admin/HR, PMR, Finance, WASH and R& D and Fundraising department, SMFO) in short and specified timeline.
- Prepare, collect, and submit case studies, success stories, photographs, and other required information to HQ.
- Manage, motivate, appraise, mentor, and supervise the staff and manage to provide professional support to staff wherever needed.
- Perform the day-to-day activities to smoothly run the province office and field activities.
- Responsible for overall administrative, HRD, management and procurement related tasks at province level.
- Comply with auditor’s comments, suggestions, and feedback to track the financial, administration and inventory system.
- Ensure the compliance of overall organization policies and procedures.
- Responsible for overall quality control, quality assurance of WASH projects.
- Responsible to extend coordination level by developing relation with concern GOs (local government, provincial government) like-minded organizations, implementation partners and stakeholders in working area.
- Report any issues and matter of concerns to HQ (departments) immediately and maintain proper communication.
- Ensure safety and security of province office property and team.
- Accomplish any other tasks of the organization as assigned by line manager and the Director of the organization.
Duty Station:
- Based on NEWAH Province Office, Sindhuli with frequent field visits to its project areas.
Academic Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in any discipline with at least three years of work experience in WASH program management or related development sector. Preference to candidates with a civil engineering background.
Or,
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least five years of work experience in WASH program management or related development sector. Preference to candidates with a civil engineering background.
- Preference to candidates who has well experience in the WASH program management, administrative and procurement works and knowledge on national, provincial, & local WASH policies, guidelines, water supply technical norms and standards.
Others:
- Computer knowledge – Ms. Word, Advanced Excel, Power Point (Ms. Office Package).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Nepali.
- Good knowledge and experience of Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting.
- Admin, Procurement and Human resource management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills, analytical skills, leadership, and team building skills.
- Good facilitation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work hard under pressure to meet deadlines, be creative, innovate and proactive.
- A genuine interest in development and empathy with NEWAH's work and ethos.
Expected Joining Date: From 08 April 2024
Probation Period: Six Months
