Job Description:
• Managing the inventory of baking ingredients and requesting stock purchases.
• Keeping track of the expiration dates of ingredients and planning their use accordingly.
• Keeping an eye on the appearance of the baked goods and making sure they're ready when they're supposed to be.
• Notifying the bakery chef of low baked products stock in a timely manner.
• Keeping the baked products counter clean and neat, as well as completing other tasks as needed.
• After business hours, cleaning and preparing the cold kitchen for the next day.
• Customer complaints are handled and relayed to the baker.
• Providing assistance to the bakery chef in every manner feasible.
Requirements:
• Education: +2 passed, Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (running)
• Vocational training or baking coursework would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in a bakery environment preferred.
• Proficiency in weighing, pricing, packaging, and processing baked goods.
• Ability to manage ingredient inventories and to track expiry dates.
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to create visually appealing displays of baked goods.
• Knowledge of food and health industry regulations.
• Advanced ability to multitask and follow instructions given by bakers
