Established on May 19, 2010, the Ministerial Secretary, one Secretary, 1 Joint Secretary or the general head of the Gazetted Second Class Branch will be the Chief Secretary and 5 branches of the Gazetted Second Class Branch. The living organization structure has been approved. This ministry is a central level policy-making body. The Ministry of Urban Development has been formed as per the decision of the Government of Nepal on 9/9/9. Following the restructuring of the decision of the Government of Nepal (MoP) dated 7.09.19, this Ministry is currently responsible for streamlining and arranging works related to urban development, housing, building construction.
